History

A History of Barkingham Palace

Barkingham Palace opened on November 17, 2001. The opening fulfilled our dream of bringing a state-of-the-art boarding, training, and grooming pet facility to Brevard County.

From an initial article in Florida Today to positive reviews on multiple websites, we’re honored that our clientele continues to grow.

We Love the Space Coast

It was easy to choose to build in Brevard County–our hometown. We were lucky to have seen many shuttle launches, including this one in April 2002 when Atlantis blasted off.

Our Expansion

On May 1st, 2009 we officially opened our boarding expansion, which added 7 luxury suites and 20 enclosure suites. This increased our boarding capacity by 40% so that we could accommodate the increased demand. We added two murals (The Pond, shown here, and The Shore) on the walls opposite the new suites. These murals were painted for us by Al Rao, famous for decorating local schools and several walls in Cocoa Village.
